Parks & CommonsFulham is renowned for its open spaces with numerous sizable parks and of course a very long river frontage. Green spaces in the district include; Hurlingham Park with its sports ground and the club that adjoins the park has a swimming pool, tennis courts and is centred around the 18th century Hurlingham House. Bishops Park offers 27 acres of beautiful land with sports ground, an ornamental park, an open air theatre and the Bishops Palace now a museum but once home to the Bishops of London until 1973. Also nearby, little South Park has a children's play area, cricket pitch, tennis courts, while there are two ancient centres still with open land Eel Brook common and Parsons Green. |
